Election Day is finally here.  As you vote in the Democratic primary, remember this:

I believe in fiscally responsible leadership that respects and protects the public employees, taxpayers and communities throughout the state. I have the breadth and depth of experience to successfully lead the Treasurer’s office across its critical functions, including managing its retirement system, administering the state health care plan, protecting North Carolina’s AAA credit rating through good state and local governance, funding our investments in infrastructure, and promoting the financial wellbeing of North Carolina’s working families.

I have degrees in biomedical engineering, law and business.  I have experience in investment banking, finance, healthcare, law, and North Carolina’s politics and that experience is essential to the job at hand.

You don’t have to take my word for it.  I have been endorsed by:

  • North Carolina Association of Educators
  • Durham People’s Alliance
  • Durham Committee on the Affairs of Black People
  • Raleigh-Wake Citizens Association
  • Wake County Voters Education Coalition
  • Greensboro’s Simpkins PAC
  • Replacements PAC
  • Black Political Caucus of Charlotte-Mecklenburg
  • Winston-Salem Journal
  • Independent Weekly
  • Wilmington Journal

And many other civic groups and elected officials, including our current Treasurer, Janet Cowell, who says:

I know firsthand that we need strong, thoughtful leadership in the state treasurer’s office. We need a leader who will continue to build upon our progress and protect meaningful retirement and health benefits for teachers, firefighters, police officers and public employees in North Carolina. We need a leader with knowledge about the issues we face and the vision to move our state forward. Dan Blue III is that leader.

I hope I can count on your vote.  Please vote for Dan Blue III as your next Treasurer today.
